Luscious Lips
Ladies, let's celebrate - glamour is back!
Lipstick is the must have for the
festive season. Use bold colours
of red or mulberry to emphasise
the shape of your lips.
In recent years, ingredients such as moisturizers,
vitamin E, aloe vera, collagen, amino acids, and sunscreen
have been added to lipstick, keeping lips soft, moist,
and protected from the elements. Good news then, you
will not only look fantastic but you will be nourishing
your lips too.
Do's and don'ts
Do use a lip primer – this
will matt your lips and give your lipstick something
to hold onto.
Do apply lipstick with a lip brush.
Do use a lip liner to define the
edges or as a base to make your lipstick last all
day.
Top tip - How to keep lipstick off your teeth.
Apply your lipstick like you always do, then pop
a finger in your mouth, close your lips around your
finger and pull it out. The excess lipstick that would
get on your teeth should be on your finger.
Did you know?
I n 1770, the British Parliament passed a law condemning
lipstick, stating that "women found guilty of
seducing men into matrimony by a cosmetic means could
be tried for witchcraft." Oh I say!
