It was an absolute pleasure to have Aimee around on the morning of the wedding. She's just so calm but professional at the same time.

We had done the hair and make-up trial a few weeks before and I was so happy with her recommendations, I could just sit back and let her work her magic on the day. Aimee seems to instinctively understand what works for me, both in front of the camera and in the harsh reality of daylight!! I look at the pictures of us getting ready that morning and just smile. I look like me, absolutely, but the best possible version of me.

Aimee listened to everything I had said and felt about the look I
wanted to go for; no veil, no tiara, no hair accessories, flowers or putting my hair up. And she didn't try and talk me round.
She did an amazing job and made my hair look fantastic. And it stayed that way all day, even after a rather windy ride across London on an open topped bus!

My hair and makeup was one thing that I did not have to worry about on my wedding day - I had absolute confidence in Aimee and I was over the moon with the results.

We had a discussion a good 3 months before to talk about the look I wanted and so made sure that I did not have any haircuts that would make it impossible. Then I had a trial with Aimee about a month before, which was not only exciting but as it was in the peace of my own home we could trial my hair and makeup with the dress and accessories.

Importantly too, Aimee was a joy to have around; calm and in control in amongst the hysterical excitement. She definitely helped me that morning.

I was very worried about finding the right person to do my wedding hair and make-up and it was such a relief when I found out Aimee did image consulting. She already cut my hair so I knew she would be fantastic.

We talked a lot about the kind of wedding Iain and I visualised including the venue, flowers, catering and, of course, the dress! Aimee was always interested and enthusiastic about everything we discussed and also had fantastic tips and advise.

On the day Aimee came to the hotel where I was getting ready and was fantastic at putting everyone at ease – me, my mum and my very nervous dad. We opened the champagne and made getting ready a part of the day and the celebrations.

In the run up to the wedding I had been really anxious about how nervous I would be, but Aimee was so confident and calm that it rubbed off on everyone.

I was so pleased with both my hair and my make up, neither of which I had to worry about for the rest of the day (apart from the occasional slick of lippie from all that kissing). It was important to still feel like “me” but a special version and Aimee certainly made me feel that.

My wedding day was the happiest day of my life and was exactly how I had dreamt it would be and Aimee played a crucial part in making it happen.
